Douglas Owen, MS, LPC - bridgebuilderspp@bellsouth.net - E-Mail Doug
As the owner of Bridge Builders Counseling Center and a native of Richmond, VA, Doug moved to Wilmington in December of 2004 to be closer to his granddaughter and great fishing. Licensed to practice as a therapist by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, he is also a National Certified Counselor.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Randolph Macon College, a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary, and a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University.
Doug facilitates Pastoral Counseling and General Counseling daily and accepts most major insurances.

Kim Johnson, M.S., LMFT - kimjohnsonbb@bellsouth.net - E-Mail Kim
Kim Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Elizabethtown College, PA and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Webster University in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and dedicated to working with individuals of all ages and those with special needs. Kim is also approved by the North Carolina Board of Education to see children at school.
Stacey LaClaire, MS, LMFTA
Stacey LaCiaire has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women's Studies from the State University of New York College at Oswego, NY and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
Over the last several years Stacey has provided home-based therapy to at-risk youth and their families in Washington, DC and throughout Eastern North Carolina. She is currently finishing up her clinical requirements to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is looking forward to continuing her work with individuals and families in the Wilmington area.
Michael Pappas, MFT - E-Mail Mike
Michael has a bachelor of arts in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. Over the last few years he has worked with at-risk youth in a day treatment setting and in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. He is currently working on his requirements towards NC Licensure as a LMFT.
Michael is passionate about working with couples and families from a wide range of cultural and diverse populations.
T. Morgan Heath, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, CSI - DUI/DWI Services
Morgan has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. Morgan is a native of Eastern Carolina and moved to the Wilmington area several years ago to be closer to family and the beach.
Morgan provides DWI Assessments and Groups for Bridge Builders Counseling, along with addiction and substance abuse counseling for individuals and families.
