Douglas Owen, MS, LPC - E-Mail Doug
As the owner of Bridge Builders Counseling Center and a native of Richmond, VA, Doug moved to Wilmington in December of 2004 to be closer to his granddaughter and great fishing. Licensed to practice as a therapist by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, he is also a National Certified Counselor.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Randolph Macon College, a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary, and a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University.
Doug facilitates Pastoral Counseling and General Counseling daily and accepts most major insurances.

Kim Johnson, M.S., MFTA - E-Mail Kim
Kim Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Elizabeth Town College, PA and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Webster University in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is accruing hours for licensure. Kim is dedicated to working with those individuals of all ages and those with special needs. Kim is also approved by the North Carolina Board of Education to see children at school.
Kristen Rudy, M.S. ATR, LPC - E-Mail Kristen
Kristen Rudy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, and a Master of Science in Art Therapy from Emporia State University, KS. She is a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. Kristen works with clients of all ages, including individuals, couples, and families. She uses the evidence based approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
